Leased lines & connectivity

Leased lines and business connectivity, chosen for your building

Dedicated leased lines, business broadband and backup connections, sourced from multiple, diverse network suppliers so you get the best option at your address, not the only one a single carrier sells.

Connectivity is now critical infrastructure

When your phone system, files, email and business applications all live in the cloud, your internet connection is no longer just for browsing. If it goes down or slows to a crawl, your business stops. Choosing the right connection, and having a plan for when it fails, has become one of the most important IT decisions a business makes.

What we provide

Leased lines

A leased line is a dedicated fibre connection used only by your business. It gives you the same speed in both directions, consistent performance at busy times and a service level agreement for repairs. It's the right choice for offices that depend on cloud applications, hosted phones, video calls or moving large files.

Business broadband

For smaller offices and sites, business-grade fibre broadband can offer excellent value. We help you choose the right product for your address and usage, and support it alongside the rest of your IT.

Backup and resilient connections

Every connection can fail, whether from a cable cut by roadworks or an equipment fault. A backup line on a different network supplier means your business keeps working when your main line doesn't. Combined with the right router set-up, failover can happen automatically.

Multi-site networking

For businesses with more than one location, we can connect offices securely, so staff share files, applications and a single phone system as if they were in the same building.

Why multiple, diverse suppliers matter

We work with multiple, diverse network suppliers rather than a single carrier. That matters for three reasons:

  • Better coverage. Different networks reach different buildings. We can check what's available at your address across several networks.
  • Better value. Comparing suppliers lets us find the right balance of speed, price and installation time for your site.
  • Real resilience. A backup line is only useful if it doesn't share the same weak point as your main line. Using a different supplier for each gives you genuine diversity.

Choosing the right speed

Bigger is not always better. The right connection depends on how many people share it, what they do and how much your business loses when it is slow. A team that mostly uses email and web applications needs far less than an office running cloud desktops, video calls and large file uploads at the same time. We look at your users, applications and plans for growth, recommend a speed that fits with room to spare, and make sure it can be upgraded later without a new installation where possible.

Who it is for

  • Offices moving to cloud applications, cloud desktops or hosted phones.
  • Businesses frustrated by slow or unreliable broadband, especially at busy times.
  • Creative, media and engineering teams that upload and download large files.
  • Multi-site businesses that need offices connected securely.
  • Any business where an hour offline costs real money.

How we deliver it

We start by understanding how your business uses its connection and what downtime would cost you. We check availability at your address across our suppliers and recommend a primary connection, plus a backup where it makes sense. We then manage the order and installation, configure your router and firewall, and test everything before going live.

Once you're connected, faults and changes come to our team. Because we also provide managed IT support and phone systems, there's no arguing between your internet provider and your IT company about whose problem it is.

Why choose Seabeck

  • One provider for voice, data and IT, so connectivity, phones and IT support are handled by the same team.
  • Supplier choice, so your connection is chosen for your building, not limited by a single network.
  • Resilience built in, with backup lines on diverse networks.
  • An in-house team based in Elstree, Hertfordshire, supporting businesses across the UK.
FAQs

Leased lines and connectivity: common questions

What is a leased line?

A leased line is a dedicated internet connection reserved for your business alone. Unlike broadband, it isn't shared with neighbouring users, and it offers the same speed for uploads as downloads, with a service level agreement for repairs.

Do we need a leased line or is business broadband enough?

For a small team using email and web apps, good business broadband is often enough. If you rely on cloud applications, video calls, hosted phones or large file transfers, or downtime would be costly, a leased line is usually worth it. We'll give you an honest recommendation.

How long does a leased line take to install?

Installation times vary by address, because they depend on the work needed to bring fibre into your building. We'll give you an estimate once we've checked availability, and can provide interim broadband if needed.

What happens if our main line fails?

We can add a backup connection over a different network supplier, so if the main line has a fault your business fails over to the backup and keeps working.

Why does it matter that you use multiple suppliers?

Different networks reach different buildings and offer different prices and speeds. Working with several suppliers lets us compare what's available at your address, choose the best fit and build genuine resilience by putting your backup on a separate network.
